Dear Hidden Gardens team
I had the most special day on Thursday, together with my sister and two friends. The whole experience was nothing short of continual wonder, awe, inspiration, and admiration.
Wonder at the four beautiful gardens that delighted us at every turn, each quite different from the other. Awe on so many levels including that these generous people had been persuaded to open their private gardens to strangers, sharing their passion and work. Inspiration as we wandered around each property inspired by what we saw, realizing what can be done over generations, and aiming to do better in our own back yard. And admiration for the incredible effort behind the scenes by your very dedicated crew.
The professional organization and dedication of volunteers really shone through. Clearly months and months of planning. From the detailed emails sharing stories of the properties, reminders, shuttle bus, friendly volunteers helping park, greeting at gates, manning wonderful stalls, serving drinks – at every turn we were greeted by warm, hardworking volunteers.
Thank you to you all – an exceptional event and I hope you reached your fundraising goal for the gardens of Carrick Hill.
